The Beatles: Eight Days a Week – The Touring Years hits U.S. theaters September 16

On September 16, Ron Howard’s documentary The Beatles: Eight Days a Week – The Touring Years will hit U.S. theaters. Produced with the full cooperation of Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Yoko Ono Lennon, and Olivia Harrison, it’s based on the beginning of the Beatles’ career from 1962-66. According to a press release, the feature film “will explore their inner workings – how they made decisions, created their music and built their collective career together – all the while, exploring The Beatles’ extraordinary and unique musical gifts and their remarkable, complementary personalities.” The first trailer for Eight Days a Week has arrived today. It includes footage from early concerts and snippets of interviews with Paul and Ringo. Check it out below.

  1. I do love the name “EIGHT DAY’S A WEEK”, (kinda fit’s in with the other titles “A HARD DAYS NIGHT”, “HELP!”, “LET IT BE” all Beatles songs) and they worked so hard all those years it must have felt like it was eight days a week to them.
    I was so hoping this was indeed a documentary on the touring years in particularly. I was hoping it would be for the fans, (especially the ones of all ages that NEVER made it to see them love on stage) like going to a Beatles concert!!!
    From what I hear now it’s a loaded full of interviews with other people and stuff like that. I hope it’s not a disappointment…but I do hold confidence in Ron Howard.
